Let’s review: a $20,000 prize pool, 64 players, 62 matchups,14 hours, countless resets, a surprise game update, and one exhausted TO. That’s a wrap on our latest Code Red 2v2, and hoo doggy was it a wild ride!

Code Red Warzone Winners

In the end, HusKerrs and Newbz came out on top and took home the top prize of $10,000. Despite the internet trying to thwart him, HusKerrs landed an impressive 407 kills (average of 18 per match) and 7.40 K/D. Newbz slew 388 total opponents, with an average of 17 per match, and ended with a K/D of 7.32. It turns out this was the first tournament win for HusKerrs and Newbz as team TBE, making this hard-earned win all the sweeter.

Second place and $6,000 went to JoeWo and stukawaki. This dynamic duo killed a total of 205 and 204 players, respectively, and was a force to be reckoned with!

Third place and $4,000 went to the team of Jukeyz and Fifakill, who had 174 and 208 total kills each. Take a look at their mad skills:

Highlights

It wouldn’t be a BoomTV tournament without a few surprises. Here are some of our favorite moments from the $25k Code Red 2v2:

BoomTV’s Community Pick was none other than ntshay and aHTract12, who held their own before elimination in Round 4 of the Gulag (Loser’s Bracket).

99 problems and a lack of kills ain’t one

Our last game was tied 2-2 for a nail-biting finish. After countless resets, the surprise Warzone update, and a grueling day of kicking butt, these guys combined for 99 KILLS.
