BONUS: HB’s Favorite Grog Recipe
For those of you Sea of Thieves fans who are of legal drinking age and want to fight scurvy, this is my favorite grog recipe!
This is one of my favorite drinks on a cold day…or when I’m in a particularly pirat-ey mood! This grog recipe is super easy and is refreshing when served cold.
You’ll need:
- 2 oz dark or spiced rum
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 4 oz hot water
- 1 orange slice
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Put the kettle on. Add rum, brown sugar, and lime juice to a mug. If you don’t have a hand juicer, I find that cutting the lime in half and squeezing the juice out works just as well. When your water is hot, add to the mixture. Stir with a cinnamon stick and leave it in for garnish. Then, add a fresh orange slice and enjoy!
