Amazon’s hit MMO has players all over the world jumping into the action to fight hordes of demons. If you’re new to the game or just never took the time to explore your options, here is a guide to Lost Ark’s classes and what they do.
All Lost Ark Classes
Major Classes:
- Warrior
- Martial Artist
- Gunner
- Mage
- Assassin
Once you pick a major class, you’ll be able to choose an advanced subclass that determines your abilities on the battlefield. Let your preferred fighting style be your guide. If you like to get up close and personal, consider a powerful “tank” like a warrior. Prefer to stay out of the way and offer support? Take a look at Mage classes. Want a combination of range and power? Check out martial artists, gunners, and assassins!
Warrior
Fighting style: Melee
- Berserker
- Wielding a powerful Great Sword, this warrior deals heavy damage. Increased attack and movement speed are granted once Berserkers enter burst mode.
- Paladin
- Tapping into the power of the gods, Paladins can handle themselves on the front lines, but offer support through holy skills and buffs.
- Gunlancer
- This subclass of Warrior specializes in defense, both of his/herself and others. They can take a LOT of hits. Even if you DO get through a Gunlancer’s shield, you’d have to contend with its powerful gun lance.
- NEW – Destroyer
- A destroyer’s hammer is so powerful that they can bend gravity to their will — slowing, launching, pushing and pulling enemies. And naturally, you can just smash the crap out foes as well.
Martial Artist
Fighting style: Melee, Elemental
- Striker
- If you like aerial combos and elemental powers, this class is for you. Strikers are extremely fast.
- Wardancer
- Wardancers can pull off super-fast, gravity-defying maneuvers using elemental power.
- Scrapper
- Scrappers are the ultimate mix of attack, defense, and mobility. This subclass is armed with a powerful gauntlet that harnesses the power of two opposing energies for maximum damage.
- Soulfist
- Both ranged and melee attacks are no problem for the Soulfist. They channel a special energy called Adamance which can be imbued into abilities or used to sustain them during battle.
- NEW – Glaivier
- This new class is exactly what it sounds like – a powerful martial artist that wields a glaive and spear. Depending on the stance, a Glaivier can deal a series of impressive combos.
Gunner
Fighting style: Ranged
- Gunslinger
- Swift and deadly accurate, this class can switch between weapons easily and stay out of reach of enemies.
- Artillerist
- If your fighting style can be summed up as “blow stuff up,” this subclass is for you. Heavily armored but slow, the Artillerist can deal massive damage with mechanical launchers and other powerful weapons.
- Deadeye
- Versatility is the name of the game when you’re a Deadeye. Quickly switch between double handguns, a shotgun, or a rifle depending on the situation.
- Sharpshooter
- These archers use special arrows with custom effects. Sharpshooters are stealthy, quick, and deadly from a distance.
Mage
Fighting style: Ranged, Support
- Bard
- Their attacks may be low, but there’s plenty where that came from! Bards use their Liane harps to deal damage and heal their teammates.
- Sorceress
- The Sorceress wields powerful spells on the battlefield and can take on multiple foes at once with the power of three elements.
Fighting style: Melee
The last group of Lost Ark Classes are swift and deadly.
- Shadowhunter
- Fight demons with a demonic form, unleashing your wrath on foes with increased health and movement speed.
- Deathblade
- Three swords and powerful combo attacks make the Deathblade subclass a nightmare for any foe.
