8-Ball Rules
How to Play
The game of 8-Ball pool is played with a white cue ball and fifteen object balls, numbered 1 through 15. Balls 1–7 are solid colors and balls 9–15 are striped. One player must pocket balls of solid colors, while the other player must pocket the striped balls. The player who pockets their entire group and then legally pockets the 8-ball wins the game. (i.e. you cannot sink the 8-ball before all your other balls)
To aim, move your mouse until the pool cue is lined up where you want. The game will indicate which direction the ball will move.
On the computer, press right and left click at the same time to pull the cue back. The further back you pull it, the harder you will hit. Release when you are ready.
On mobile, simply drag the cue back with your finger. The strength of your pull will be indicated by a bar on the left. Release when you’re ready.
Stripes vs. Solids
The balls are racked randomly. One player will be chosen to go first. Whichever type of ball you sink first will be assigned to you and all available balls will appear in the HUD under your name.
The game will indicate which balls are yours to help keep track. As you pocket each ball, it will disappear from the HUD below your name and appear on the track to the right.
How to Win
Each round of 8-Ball with Buddies lasts seven minutes. Rack up as many points as you can before the time runs out.
