How to Play Hangman

Hangman is a simple word guessing game that dates back as far as the 1800s. It has traditionally been played with pen and paper among school children but now you can play it against your teammates! Here’s how to play Hangman on Team Games like a pro:

Players needed: 1

Save Stickman

The goal of Hangman is to guess the word or phrase before a complete Stickman can be drawn on the gallows. Each wrong guess adds a rope and piece to Stickman’s body, so you only have 7 chances before it’s game over!

Pieces of Stickman are:

  • Rope
  • Head
  • Body
  • Right arm
  • Left arm
  • Right leg
  • Right leg

Each game starts with empty gallows, a series of letters to choose from, and a hint of what the puzzle is about.

Correct letter guesses will appear in the puzzle, getting you one step closer to solving it. Incorrect letters will be X’d out and another piece of the Stickman will appear instead.

Scoring

Hangman players earn two (2) diamonds for winning and ten (10) points for guessing correct letters. Rack up as many points as possible before the Outing round ends.

Note: Points reset every time you guess incorrectly and only your highest score is recorded.

Using Hints

Each Outing round of Team Games’ Hangman will start off with 70 diamonds. Each hint will use 10 diamonds. Click or tap the light bulb to use a hint, then again to confirm.

A letter will appear in the puzzle and be circled in green to indicate that it is correct. You cannot use hints if you don’t have enough diamonds. Earn more diamonds by solving puzzles.
