The AVGL has partnered with five college organizations for five different summer leagues to help bring recognition to outstanding college programs and give students some competition over the summer. The Summer Series features a total prize pool of $12,500!

AVGL Summer Series: Fortnite presented by Ashland University Esports
Ashland University has been a major competitor in past AVGL events. They have been back-to-back finalists in the $10,000 Autumn and April Anarchy events thanks players like Dr. Duke, gwb., Big Riv, and Bhronos. To highlight the success of their program AVGL partnered with them on the AVGL Summer Series: Fortnite to showcase their school and talent they bring to the playing field. They will have several competitors competing in the series and you can be sure we’ll see them in the finals once more.
The AVGL Summer Series: Fortnite presented by Ashland University will feature a custom lobby arena duo tournament with three (3) qualifiers where the top sixteen (16) of each qualifier earn their spot in Grand Finals and shot at $2,500! Qualifiers will begin on July 1st at 4:00pm PT / 7:00pm ET and will repeat every Thursday until July 15th.

AVGL Summer Series: Warzone presented by Ottawa Braves Esports
Ottawa Braves Esports is on fire right now in the college Call of Duty scene. They claimed their title in the CCL 2021 Season, the biggest college Call of Duty tournament. Ottawa University also had a team complete in AVGL’s Warzone Collegiate Champions League where they finished 7th with a total of 301 points! AVGL is excited to see the success of the Ottawa Braves Esports program continue in the Call of Duty scene.
The AVGL Summer Series: Warzone presented by Ottawa Braves Esports will feature six (6) duo kill race qualifiers where the top 4 from each qualifier will advance to Grand Finals. Teams will have sixty (60) hours to play as many public matchmaking games as they want all tracked by AVGL’s integrated Warzone API, however only their best ten (10) will counnt towards their final score. The first qualifier will start June 11th – June 13th and the last one will be held July 16th – 18th.

AVGL Summer Series: Rocket League presented by Akron Esports
Akron Esports and Rocket League – name a better duo. We’ll wait. After taking down LSU 5-1 in the 2021 Spring Collegiate Rocket League Grand Finals, Akron hasn’t been letting up the gas as they also claimed first place in the first annual Great Lakes Invitational after defeating Northwood University. They are truly a program to be highlighted in the AVGL Summer Series for their accomplishments in Rocket League.
The AVGL Summer Series: Rocket League presented by Akron Esports will feature a seven (7) week long swiss tournament followed by a 32 team double elimination bracket. Registration closes June 6th at 11:59pm PT and teams have the option to reschedule their weekly matches.

AVGL Summer Series: Smite presented by Redbird Smite
Illinois State University is home to Redbird Smite, an active program and team within the college Smite scene. They hosted their own Smite tournament, Redbird Smite Invitational, that preceded the official AVGL Collegiate Smite Championships and we wanted to feature them for their active participation within the grassroot Smite community. After defeating RIT in the first round of playoffs this Spring Redbird Smite fell to Northeastern University’s Husky Gaming who will soon be participating in the Grand Finals this June against Georgia State Univeristy.
The AVGL Summer Series: Smite presented by Illinois State Redbird Smite will be a seven (7) week long swiss tournament followed by a 16 team single elimination bracket. Registration closes XX and teams will have the ability to reschedule their matches.

AVGL Summer Series: Valorant presented by Collegiate Valorant Conference
The Collegiate Valorant Conference (CVC) is a grassroot community focused on building the college and university Valorant scene. CVC was founded via a common goal between CCA (Rocket League) and CollegiateR6 (Rainbow 6 Siege) admins, to create the best collegiate VALORANT community. CVC focuses on fostering collegiate competition through events and student development through interactions with others and work experience. This is CVC’s first academic year of competition and they have given away over $5k in scholarship prizing to students.
The AVGL Summer Series: Valorant presented by Collegiate Valorant Conference features a six (6) week long swiss tournament followed by a thirty-two (32) team single elimination bracket over three (3) weeks. The event features a $2,500 prize poll and will require teams to pay a $60 entry fee.
